Seraphim Angel “Iris, The Rainbow’s End”

Roman Angel Iris

This is the first of the smaller Roman Angel’s that I bought. I love them in groups - reminding me that angels are always around us.

Royal Doulton “Mariani”

Royal Doulton Mariani

Collector plates of children are a favorite theme of mine.  “Mariani” by Brenda Burke is the first in the series “Festival Children of the World” and was one of my first plates.  I bought the plate in 1983 - I loved it then and still do

Roman Seraphim Angel “Hope”

Roman Angel Hope

Each of the Seraphim Angels in my collection has special meaning to me. This angel, whose name is Hope, represents my fervent wish that we all have hope during these troubled times and during the times to come.

Lena Liu “Amethyst Glory”

Amethyst Glory

Lena Liu is one of my favorite artists. I have several of her prints hanging in my home. She works in several mediums - this 3 dimensional sculpted plate represents to me the essence of her work - soft, ethereal - beautiful.

Yellow and Red “Boat”

What a variety of beautiful art has been created over the years. This lovely serving boat is bright yellow with a deep red lip - it is 12 inches long, and done in a button and bows design. It was made in the 1920’s by a company called Hobbs - and was made to use as a serving dish. The little hat is just a cute accent piece - it actually is a little box, the top of the hat opens up. Yellow is my favorite color - and I have a little area devoted to yellow art glass. I just love it.

Kaiser Goldfish

I have always loved this piece. It was my mother’s. I have tried to find out more about it online - but haven’t yet. If I am able to, I will post the name.

Cybis “Harp Seal, Arctic Pup”

Harp Seal

I have always thought that this porcelain white bisque figure of a baby seal was just precious. This is the Cybis Harp Seal, Arctic Pup from the Animal & woodland collection. Isn’t the little face just adorable?

Boy with Violin

This wonderful piece has been one of my all time favorites. I don’t know the artist or even the manufacturer. But I was with my mother when she bought it - and it was a lamp. I read that when fine art is used to make a lamp, it is made so that the lamp fixtures can be removed without damaging the sculpture. He is a massive piece - 14″ tall and very heavy and just lovely.
